Welcome to Caper Cutters
Square Dance Club Of San Francisco!

This club was founded 60 years ago this year.
It's the oldest Square Dance club in San Francisco.

If you're an out-of-town (or country) square dancer
and would like to dance on a Monday night,

please email  Lulu Robertson  for directions.

The club dance level is Plus.
There's round and line dancing as well.
And always lots of finger-licking good snacks!

Above was the club's magnificent Square Dance Caller,
Larry Davenport.   He retired a few years ago.

With him were Ken Croft and Elena De Zordo,
Caper Cutters' beloved Round and Line Dance Cuers.

However, on Dec 10, 2007, Larry Davenport
bade goodbye to this club after calling for 13 years.
He will be sorely missed.
The new caller is Jim Osborne.
Visit him <here>.

Ken and Elena
had been the Club's Round and Line Dance Cuers
and Instructors for over 30 years.
They cued easy Phase 2 and 3 levels.
Of late, due to health reasons,
Elena decided to retire permanently in a rest home.

Ken used to teach the Round of the Month.
As you may know, he wrote the choreography
of the classic and popular
round dance entitled "Hush".

But on Sept 5, 2005, the angels
decided to take Ken back to heaven
after he died peacefully that afternoon.
He will be terribly missed.

As a result Jim Sichel and Jane Lu have  taken
over as the Club's official Round Dance Cuers/Instructors.

This club manages to maintain at least six squares
even on a Monday night 49ers football game!
Their mini-hoedowns usually attract at least nine squares.

Finger-licking good food and refreshments
re expertly prepared for all dancers
by the Club's very talented Food Designers
so nobody goes home hungry!
