Make way for Steve Minkin -
the great Square Dance Caller!!

This club is extremely fortunate
to have Steve Minkin, 
a caller who is not only a
stickler to quality and offers
 "a cut above" 
style of square-dance calling
but one with boundless energy 
and enthusiasm as well! 

A natural and undoubtedly a multi-talented person, 
he is one of the few callers we know of who are 
totally dedicated to teaching Square Dancing 
from the basics all the way up to the 
highest level we call "challenge".  

  Psssst...wanna know why
he's got so much energy 
to expend? 
Well, he found a fountain of it 
somewhere in Healdsburg!   
Just come and witness him call almost 
non-stop for five hours on Sundays!    
Short breaks, looooong tips.
And yes, worth the long drive!
 

 
His magnificent voice as well mind-teasing calls 
attract dancers from far away places 
like Clearlake and San Francisco.  
And guess what, he teaches line dancing as well!!  
And oh yes, he also does round dancing!

 

And here comes Lily Minkin,
the "Cartwheel Kid"!   
She sure inherited her
Dad's boundless energy.  
You should've seen her
do 20 "cartwheels" 
at a Round Up
convention
in Oakland 
a few moons back!  
Amazing kid, that Lily!
 

To get this real "Miss Live Wire" to sit still 
for this beautiful picture above, 
we bet Steve must have threatened to cut off 
her weekly allowance!   
Or maybe bribed her with a box of drawing pens?  
Yes, Lily's not only an accomplished 
Acrobat but a fine artist as well. 

One Sunday she and Ed Malaret's handsome son 
held their first joint venture mini Art Exhibit.
Hey, where's Ed these days?

What an elegant-looking couple, aren't they?  
Dave and Louise DeHerder have been the Spinners'
beloved Round Dance Cuers for many years.  
Dave used to cue easy Phase 2 and 3 levels 
in between Advance tips. 
However, due to health problems,
he is no longer able to do it.
We will miss him and Louise terribly. 

Steve's A2 and C1 club members dance at the Wischemann Hall in Sebastopol. 
Beautiful hardwood floor!
Hey -  A2 and C1 dancers,  want some really terrific floor time? With short breaks and long tips?   
Well, this is definitely  THE  place to go on Sundays!  Trust us, it's worth the drive.
